A project is defined as having a beginning and an end, with specific goals, constraints, budget, and scope, unlike operational work that is achieved through a set of steps.

The Office of Communications provides leadership for Oberlin’s major communications efforts, overseeing web, design, and brand management; news and editorial services; media relations; social media; film and photography; marketing; and overall strategy for Oberlin’s external and internal communications.

In addition, our team helps departments throughout campus to strategize and meet their own specific communications goals by using a collaborative project management process that involves team creation, planning, goal assessment, identifying risks, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
